Alex E. Fortunati
Chairman & CEO

Mr. Alex E. Fortunati founded Support Services of America, Inc. in 1996. He grew it to manage over 1,500 staff dedicated to facility services such as janitors, maintenance handyman, landscapers and security guards. It has nationwide service coverage currently in all 50 states across the USA. Services are provided to the Federal Government, SSA holds a Secret Security Facility Clearance status. Other industries that SSA serves are Healthcare, Construction, Education, Retail and Business & Institutions, Fortune 1000 companies.

He holds an award for National Leadership and was recognized as 2003 Business Man of the Year. Active member of organizations such as Hispanic 100 Board Member, Latin Business Association Board Member, Rotary International Norwalk past Board member, YMCA Santa Ana/Tustin past Board Member, BOMA, IREM, PRSM, IFMA, CAHF, New Majority, Townhall of California and Los Angeles World Affairs Council.

Mr. Fortunati received his PKE – Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University and is certified in Human Resources Management from UCLA.




Barry Soltani, PhD
Chief Financial Officer

Dr. Barry Soltani is an expert in business financing, acquisitions, commercial real estate financing, private investments and international finance. For the past fifteen years he has assisted many private company owners with access to capital, acquisition strategies, private trade finance and financial restructuring. In the International Finance arena he has been an active financier putting together numerous complex investments and financing transactions. In 1999 Barry traveled with the Secretary of Commerce William Daley as a part of an official trade mission to China . Prior to that Dr. Soltani was the CFO for Transpacific Industries, a foreign direct investor specializing in industrial development projects in China and Eastern Europe . Prior to that he was Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at ESOT Group, Inc. a Los Angeles based financial advisory firm with a focus on acquisitions, divestitures and inter-generational asset transfers.

Dr. Soltani has lectured extensively and written in the areas of applied game theory, corporate finance, international financial deregulation, and contemporary economic problems. He holds a PhD and MA in economics from the University of California , Riverside .




Victor Borghese
Vice President of Operations- Western Region

Victor Borghese is our Vice President of Operations for the Western Region. Victor has over twenty-five years of facilities management experience. Prior to joining Support Services, Victor spent six and a half years with Ford Motor Company, eleven years with Toyota Motor Sales and ten years with Bridgestone Tire Company. He has managed maintenance, landscaping, janitorial, security, office services, and food service over his twenty-five career.

Victor has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Pepperdine University and an MBA from Webster’s University. He has lived in Orange County for over twenty years. He is also an active member of the International Facilities Management Association. He is a Board Member of Spectrumotion, an Irvine based transportation management association. He is an avid runner with seventeen marathons under his belt and has two children.





Dr. Miguel Angel Moreno, Ph.D.
Chief Research Officer

Dr. Moreno is an experienced and accomplished scientist and Professor of Physics, Engineering and Astronomy. He has worked for NASA in the Hubble Space Telescope Mission as a Senior Scientist in the Camera team and in the Galileo Mission. Today we see the images from the camera of the Hubble Space Telescope in every science textbook and in every library in the world. He has participated in many world conferences on space exploration representing NASA/JPL. He has also developed innovative technology programs in Microchip Manufacturing, Robotics and Nanotechnology for the Los Angeles colleges in partnerships with USC and UCLA. Dr. Moreno is widely recognized in scientific and technological journals and featured in the LA Times with a major article. His educational background includes his Bachelor's Degree in Physics from UC Berkeley. He also attended Cal State Hayward; he then went to UCLA where he received his Master's Degree in Atomic Physics and after many years of hard work in research, he received his Ph.D. Degree in two separate areas Space Physics and in Geophysics; he also holds a degree in Engineering.

Dr. Moreno's responsibility at Support Services of America is to help guide the development of new savings simulator software and innovative technologies. He plays a supportive role for the inclusion of new technologies and new advanced software to provide savings for SSA clients.
